The game had a very big importance for eleventh-ranked SerbianJoker as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Joker smashed 10th ranked Montenegrin Podgorica in Sombor 81-62 . Joker dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Podgorica 's 34. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Joker made 8 blocks. Center Veljko Brkic (206-1995) stepped up and scored 23 points for the winners and Hungarian-Serbian forward Tomislav Ivosev (204-1990) chipped in 9 points and 8 rebounds. The best for the losing side was American power forward Anthony Smith (201-1997, college: Murray St.) with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds and the other American import guard Joshua Scott (185-1998, college: Thomas Univ.) scored 13 points and 4 assists. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Podgorica at the other side keeps the tenth place with three games lost. They share the position with MZT Skopje and Siroki.
